Esthetics Programs

Metro Beauty Academy has designed an extensive esthetics program for those interested in a gratifying career within the skin care industry. Although the state requires only 300 educational hours to complete the program, Metro Beauty Academy’s belief is that this is not sufficient to properly prepare students for a career as an esthetician, and therefore offers an Advanced Esthetics Program containing 450 hours of both education and training.

The program begins with students studying significant scientific concepts, the body’s and skin’s anatomy and physiology, bacteriology, electricity and chemistry as how it affects skin care and esthetics procedures.

As the course progresses, you’ll learn to identify skin types and perform basic facials. To educate students beyond the basics, Metro Beauty Academy has designed a curriculum to include training in advanced facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser and light therapy, mask therapy, non-therapeutic massage, tweezing, waxing and makeup application. We say that’s comprehensive!

Apply the skills and techniques garnered from classroom lectures and demonstrations on visiting clients in Metro Beauty Academy’s fully equipped day spa. There you will have the necessary Dermalogica products right at your fingertips.
